Is cashback taxable for our business?

Any reward can raise a tax question. Here's what the Cashback by spacebly terms say about it.

   It may be. Under the terms effective 9 Oct 2026 rewards may be taxable for whoever receives them. Each recipient is responsible for their own tax affairs. That includes declaring rewards to HMRC where required.

   We can't give tax advice. Check with your accountant how a cash reward or a voucher should be treated for your business.

   If a reward is paid to a named person rather than the company, they should check their own position too. The same goes for referrers who receive cash.

   Where someone is employed by another business, it's up to them to get any consent their employer needs before they accept a reward.
