How should we plan the timeline for an office move?

Office moves have a lot of moving parts. This is a simple order to work through.

   Work backwards from your move date. A simple order:
   Agree your brief: headcount, location, must haves and deadline.
   Work out desks with the office space calculator by spacebly.
   Agree an area. Team Location Finder by spacebly compares commutes.
   Shortlist offices and compare price, what's included, minimum term and notice period.
   Book viewings and bring a few colleagues.
   Review offers, negotiate with the operator and sign directly with them.
   Give notice on your current office in line with your agreement.

   Leave more time for bigger moves. The London office cost guide on spacebly (May 2026) says larger managed and bespoke fit outs run 8 to 16 weeks.
