Why does the ticket page ask me for an emailed code?

Clicked View detail and got asked for a code instead of seeing the ticket.

   The code keeps your conversation private. A ticket number shows its status to anyone who has it. Reading the messages needs proof you own the email on the ticket.

   We email a 6 digit code to the address on the ticket. The page shows that address partly masked so you can tell which inbox to check. Enter the code and you can read the thread and reply.

   As of Nov 2026, a code works for 10 minutes and allows 5 tries. We send at most 3 codes per ticket an hour. Codes are stored as a hash, never in plain text.
